EXPLANATION OF THE FEATURES

We offer combinations of fires and scenarios that are great for training. Choose the fire training you want to perform in the library.

Choose a single scenario, an extinguisher, and retry as many times as you like.

Individual scenarios

Run through a set of scenarios, choose the right extinguisher and get your test results at the end.

Test your skills

Complete a certification test by handling different scenarios and choosing the correct extinguisher. Pass the test and receive a certificate by email.

Certify skills

Train with randomly generated scenarios and extinguisher combinations to challenge your skills in different situations.

Randomized Training

This option gives you full freedom to create your own training setup. Combine scenarios, extinguishers, and training elements to build exercises tailored to your needs.

My combos

Bring fire scenarios into your real-world environment with mixed reality training for a more immersive and realistic experience.

Passthrough

Learn how to put out a lithium battery fire. These fires are difficult to extinguish as they often re-ignite. The white smoke is toxic and should not be inhaled. You will be given a fire extinguisher specially developed for lithium battery fires.

Lithium battery fire training

In this fire training you will be practicing putting out fires in a number of scenarios. You will be given the extinguishing agent that is optimal for the scenario you are in.

Required Headset Settings for the Application

Meta settings

To ensure the Vobling VR Fire Trainer works perfectly, please configure the following settings on your Meta headset before starting.

1. Enable Hand and Body Tracking
The application requires hand tracking to navigate the menus and paint fire nodes.

  • Go to Settings on your Meta headset.

  • Select Movement Tracking (or Tracking).

  • Ensure that Hand and Body Tracking is turned ON.

2. Room and Space Setup
You can manage your scanned rooms directly through the Meta system.

  • Go to Settings > Physical Space > Space Setup (or Environment Setup).

  • Here, you can see your previously scanned rooms or scan a new one.

  • Note: You can save up to 15 different scanned rooms in your headset.

3. Create a Custom Boundary
For the best and safest experience during the simulation, we highly recommend setting a custom boundary.

  • Choose the Boundary option in your headset settings.

  • Manually draw your own boundary covering the exact physical area you plan to move around in during the training.

Passthrough Step-by-step

1. Room Setup

  • Once you enter the Passthrough Scenario, a pop-up window will appear.

  • If your room has already been scanned, choose Continue.

  • If you want to scan the room again, choose Scan.

2. Paint the Fire Nodes

  • Now, you need to mark the areas that can catch fire.

  • Turn your left hand palm up to open the main menu. (You will use this menu throughout the session).

  • Press Paint on the menu.

  • Pinch your index finger and thumb together to start painting. Keep your fingers pinched and move your hand over the areas you want to mark.

  • Release your fingers to stop painting.

  • Tip: Fire nodes need to be close together or connected for the fire to spread properly.

  • Need to fix a mistake? Press Remove in the palm menu. Use the same pinching gesture over a node to erase it.

  • Once you are satisfied with your painted areas, press Continue.

3. Choose the Fire's Starting Point

  • Select where you want the fire to begin by pinching one of your painted fire nodes.

4. Adjust the Initial Fire Size

  • Look at your palm menu and adjust the slider . This controls how large the fire will be at the very beginning of the simulation.

5. Select the Fire Type

  • Choose the specific type of fire you want to practice with from the menu options.

6. Start and Extinguish!

  • The simulation will now begin. Grab your fire extinguisher and put out the fire!

Please note: Passthrough and Hand tracking features are currently only available on Meta Headsets
