WE ARE FIRE TRAINERS - Stefan Lundin Cramo

We had the opportunity to speak with Stefan Lundin, Instructor at Cramoskolan, about how they use the Vobling VR Fire Trainer in their training programs since 2023.

Cramoskolan provides professional safety training for external customers, including Hot Work and Flammable Hot Work certifications. As part of these courses, they use the Vobling VR Fire Trainer to give participants a realistic and practical fire extinguishing experience in a safe, flexible environment.

Tell us a little about yourself and how you use the Vobling VR Fire Trainer in your daily work.

I work as an instructor at Cramoskolan, where I use the Vobling VR Fire Trainer during training courses for our external customers in Hot Work and Flammable Hot Work.

Has VR training influenced any of your safety procedures, processes, or policies?

No, it has not changed our policies in any way. However, it could certainly be used internally for different fire safety exercises, although we have not implemented that yet.

How would you describe the value of the Vobling VR Fire Trainer to your organization?

The equipment is excellent for our training courses. Previously, I had to transport a considerable amount of equipment, whereas today everything fits into a single case. I am also no longer affected by weather conditions, which is another major advantage. In addition, there are environmental benefits, as we no longer have the same impact as we did with traditional fire training.

Would you recommend the Vobling VR Fire Trainer to other organizations? Why or why not?

Absolutely. I would recommend it to organizations like ours because of how easy it is to transport and use. It also eliminates the need to refill propane or extinguishing agents, making the training process much more convenient and efficient.
